About
Your feelings of pride and shame are products of:
1. The ideals you’ve been programmed to personify.
2. The efforts you’re making to live up to these ideals.
3. The people to whom you have given authority to judge your worth.
All of which YOU have the power to change.
In this month-long online course, you’ll learn how to reconstruct your self-esteem and become someone that you and others admire.
Lesson 1: Deconstructing Your Self-esteem
In this lesson, you'll learn how to identify the ideals you’ve been programmed to personify, what you’ve done (for your benefit and to your detriment) to live up to these ideals, and the people you’ve been looking to for approval.
Lesson 2: Affirming Your Admirable Qualities
Authentic self-esteem (in contrast to imposter syndrome) is grounded in your innate gifts and talents. In this lesson, you'll learn how to see beyond the blinders imposed by your upbringing so you can recognize and affirm your inherent worth.
Lesson 3: Designing Your Ideal Self
In this lesson, you'll select, reject, and refine the ideals you wish to personify. You’ll emerge from this lesson with a vision for yourself that is worthy of admiration – and well within your reach.
Lesson 4: Deciding Who Will Judge You (and Who Will Not)
To whom have you given authority to judge your worth? Do they get you and do they have your best interest at heart? In this lesson, you will decide to whom you will give authority, and from whom you will withdraw authority, to make assessments about your worth.
Lesson 5: Setting Achievable Milestones
You can always do better but that doesn’t mean you have to feel ashamed of where you are now. In this lesson, you’ll set milestones for becoming your best self – and give yourself permission to feel proud of yourself in the meantime.
You’ll emerge from this course feeling better about yourself and confident that you now have the knowledge and tools you need to nurture a healthy sense of pride in yourself.
