About
An individual session begins with a period of informal but guided talk between the facilitator and the client (if it is the first session, there will also be a simple initial questionnaire to fill out). This is so the facilitator can get to know the client, what issues are most prominent to them at this time, and what direction they wish to move into with more energy. With the guidance of the facilitator the client creates a positive intention which will be the general focus for the breath session. The conversation also includes the basic format of the technique and what to expect from the session. The facilitator’s main priority is to ensure the comfort of the client so that they feel safe enough to go into those vulnerable places where deep healing can take place.
Next is the formal breath session, where the client is lies down and is guided by the facilitator in the powerful healing technique of Transformational Breathing. This process is set to music and takes about an hour. While the client is breathing, the facilitator uses affirmations, body-mapping (acupressure), and toning (making sonorous high vibrational sounds) in order to help open up the respiratory system and to process and integrate stuck energies and emotions. The last portion of the breathing allows the client to relax into the fruits of their labors and enjoy a variety of pleasurable experiences.
When the breathing portion is over the facilitator and client talk again to debrief the session, answer any questions, and create a recommendation for how to keep the momentum going post-session. Books and CD’s are available to help in this regard.
Benefits of an individual session are many, and include physical, emotional, and spiritual improvements. The most tangible usually depends on the issues from which a client is seeking relief. It is not uncommon for the client to feel a huge shift in energy, or even a complete clearing, in as little as one session. Among the many positive results one may achieve: physically one can expect more energy, vitality and calmness; emotionally one can find emotional balance, clearing of old, stored traumas and feelings, and freedom from addictive tendencies; and spiritually one can achieve a greater sense of belonging or connectedness, as well as deeper intuitive insight into life and its particular meaning for the client. This is by no means an exhaustive list.
